§FIELD MANUAL · MISSION BRIEF

The five W's. Plus how.

Every operations order is built on the same shape: who is involved, what we are doing, why we are doing it, when and where it happens, and how we will know the work was sourced. The six sections below state the Wealth Recon mission in that order, so a busy advisor can read it the same way they would read a reconnaissance brief.

  1. W·1WHOFor whom we work
  2. W·2WHATWhat we hand the advisor
  3. W·3WHYWhy the work matters
  4. W·4WHENWhen a signal becomes a brief

W·1WHO WE ARE

A wealth-event radar for licensed financial advisors.

Wealth Recon is a focused intelligence service for the people who manage other people's money. We listen for the moments in a client's life that move the balance sheet: a liquidity event, a retirement, a transfer of record. Then we hand the advisor a sourced, defensible briefing before the news has even circulated.

WHAT THE NAME MEANS

Recon is a verb. Reconnaissance is a unit moving forward of the main body, returning with a report a commander can act on. Wealth Recon does that for the advisor: forward of the relationship, returning with a sourced read on the financial life of a prospect or a client.

W·2WHAT WE PROVIDE

One thing: a sourced dossier on a single person, ready in fifteen minutes.

A Wealth Recon dossier is a written intelligence product about one prospect at one moment. Every claim carries a source marker. Every page is defensible to compliance. The sample dossier on this site (John R. Smith, founder of Cuyahoga Industrial Services) is the one we walk every advisor through.

W·3WHY THIS MATTERS

The four problems an advisor lives with, every week.

Wealth Recon is not built for a missing feature. It is built for the four chronic problems that quietly erode an advisor's win rate on the conversations that matter most.

01

Research swallows the day.

A licensed advisor preparing for a serious first meeting can spend three to four hours stitching together LinkedIn, news, filings, county records, and tip-offs from a junior. The opener is usually written in the last ten minutes. The judgment was already made by then.

02

The signal arrives too late.

By the time a wealth event circulates as news, the conversation has moved to the next advisor in the chain. The window for a calm, well-prepared outreach is a matter of hours, not weeks.

03

Sourcing is uneven and hard to defend.

A briefing that leans on a single blog post or a half-remembered referral cannot survive a compliance review. Most advisors lose half their best leads to this, quietly, every quarter.

04

Names collide.

Two prospects with the same name in the same state, two very different households. The cost of conflating them is a meeting opened on the wrong life, and a relationship that does not recover from it.

W·4WHEN TIME MATTERS

Hours of research becomes fifteen minutes of reading.

Advisors who run this work by hand tell us a serious meeting brief takes three to four hours: LinkedIn, news, filings, county records, internal CRM, and a junior analyst's scribbles. Wealth Recon does the gathering and the sourcing. The advisor reads and judges what was returned.

W·5WHERE YOU WILL USE IT

One ecosystem. Three surfaces. Always in sync.

The radar runs in a browser at your desk, an iOS app in your pocket, and a printable dossier in your meeting. The same confidence read, the same source marker, the same freshness line, set identically on every surface, so nothing about the briefing changes between the train, the coffee, and the conference room.

H·1HOW WE KEEP THE TRAIL

Every claim has a source. Every source has a number.

The source manifest is not a footnote at the back. It is the product. Every factual claim in a dossier carries a numbered marker that resolves to the original document: an SEC filing, a FINRA record, a county recorder instrument, a dated news-of-record item. A compliance officer can audit every line. So can you.
